Billy Penn featured a terrific story on the opening of the Gateway Plaza at FDR Park, a project from Fairmount Park Conservancy that completes the first phase of the overall Park Plan.

FDR Park opens new Gateway Plaza, with more to come

The phased project will address everything from flooding and a lack of diversity in wildlife to playing fields and shelter.
